How to make a Team / Clan in Dota International
Hello and welcome to Dota International. A place for competitive Dota 2 Gaming. Below is a small guide reading which will help you learn How to make a Team / Clan in Dota International.
First of all, login to Dota International using your Steam ID by completing all the steps asked in subsequent windows. Once you have logged in Dota International follow these simple steps and make new Team / Clan in Dota International.
Click on Create Clan Button in top right corner near your name. See image below.
A new page will open. Click on “Add Template“.
Once you will click on Add Template, a small window will open like shown in image below. Scroll a bit down and select “Clan Page“.
Click on Clan Name to change your Team / Clan name. Then Change logo and cover photo of your Clan as shown in image below.
You will see a new pre-defined layout of clan page with some random information added in it. Hover on each block and edit it.
So, Click on Pencil type icon to edit all the information. First of all edit your About Us information.
What all can you write in About us ?
- Steam Addresses of all your team mates << Required
- Your Real Names << Optional
- Experience of each player << Optional
- Gaming style / role << Optional
- Sponsors << Optional
- or whatever you like
Change your Clan Information by hovering on on right side bar and then by clicking same Pencil icon. A new window will open and you can change all the information it. You can add 2 link here as well.
What links can I add in my Clan Information Block ?
- Steam profile of all team members (Required)
- Your Team’s Social pages like Facebook, Twitter, G+ Page etc…
- Your Team’s site (If any)
- Your contact details
Step 6 (Important)
Same as we did above, change the Games block, click on Pencil button, a new window will open, select Dota 2 in that new window and then click on Save Changes and once changes are save you can click on Close
Step 7 (Final Step)
Now you have added all the desired information, if you do not want to play with it anymore, then click on Publish in top bar right corner as seen in image below. Once changes are save, click the X button besides Publish Button
Joining the Team / Clan
Once you have created the clan, give its link to your friends, or you can share your clan page on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and other places to advertise it. Here is the link you need to use.
Remember, this link will be >> www.DotaInternational.com/Clan/Your-Team-Name_Here. If you see any other URL, then there must be something wrong with it. Ask for my help on my steam account (AnaaR_Ka_JuiCe) if you need urgent help. Or, you can use contact us page as well.
Becoming a Member of a Clan / Team
Every user has a possibility to become a member of another clan. To do that, visit another clan’s page and click the Request to join button.
Once the request is sent, the clan’s admin will see your request on his clan’s ‘Members’ page. Clans admin can then accept or refuse the request.
Clan / Team Administration
How to approve other user’s Join Requests
Simply visit your clan page and then click on member tab. It will show you all existing members and also those members whose joining request is pending. To approve, just hover on their name and it will show you option to approve or decline any Join Request.
Can I make another user my clan Admin ?
Yes you can, Clan admins can designate other clan users for administrator role. This can be done from the clan’s ‘Members‘ tab. Hover on the name of an existing clan member and select “Make Administrator”
Challenging Other Clans for a Match
Each clan can challenge any other clan (that plays the same game) for a match. To do that, a member of one clan has to visit another clan’s page and click the Challenge Clan button. Once the challenge has been sent, it will appear in another clan’s Matches tab, where that clan’s user can either accept or refuse the challenge.
Once the challenge has been accepted, the match will appear in both clans’ Matches tab.
Once the match expires, users of a clan that took part in that match will be able to input the score for that match. The score has to be accepted by the opposing clan – only then it will be displayed for everyone to see.
Reporting Matches Result
Team Captain of both the teams can submit match result. This can be done by clicking the flag icon in the top-left corner of a match page. Reported matches will only visible to the website administrator
